Terms of Use

1. Purpose

These terms govern the use of the NEWTZ app, a gym logbook to track your workouts, nutrition, supplements and progress. By creating an account, you accept these terms and the privacy policy.

2. Access and account

• The app is for people aged 16 and over.
• You sign in with your email address and a code sent by email. Keep access to your inbox to yourself.
• You must provide accurate information. Your targets are calculated from it.
• You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile > My data).

3. Your health comes first

• Calories, macros, supplement doses and suggestions are general estimates. They don't replace the advice of a doctor, a dietitian or a sports professional.
• Talk to a healthcare professional before starting a training program, significantly changing your diet or taking supplements, especially if you have a health condition, are pregnant or are on medication.
• Train with proper technique and weights you can handle. You remain responsible for your training.

4. Using the app

You agree not to:

• use the app for illegal purposes or to harm other users;
• choose an offensive or hateful first name, or one that impersonates someone else;
• try to access other users' data, bypass security or disrupt the service;
• copy, resell or commercially exploit the app or its content.

If you break these rules, we may suspend or delete the account concerned.

5. Community

Buddy features (monthly ranking, duels) only work with people you've given your friend code to. The volume shown is based on what everyone logs: play fair.

6. Food data

Product information partly comes from Open Food Facts, a collaborative database published under the Open Database License (ODbL). It may contain errors: check the label if in doubt.

7. NEWTZ Premium

Some advanced features will be offered in a paid subscription, NEWTZ Premium. The price, length, any free trial and cancellation terms will be shown clearly before any purchase. Payments go through the App Store or Google Play, and the subscription is managed and cancelled in your Apple or Google account settings. These terms will be completed when Premium launches.

8. Intellectual property

The NEWTZ name, logo, design and app code are protected. Your data belongs to you: you only allow us to use it to run the service.

9. Availability and liability

We do our best to keep the app running without interruption and your data backed up, but we can't guarantee it 100%. We are not responsible for the consequences of using the app in breach of these terms, or for training or diet decisions made based on its estimates. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may change. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version. If something important changes, we'll let you know in the app.

11. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence. If you disagree with something, please write to us first at support@newtz.app and we'll look for a friendly solution.
